New Strategy Center organizează, în perioada 2-3 septembrie, a șasea ediție a conferinței internaționale Black Sea and Balkans Security Forum, în parteneriat cu Universitatea de Științe Agronomice și Medicină Veterinară din București.

Conferința va reuni experți, oficiali, reprezentanți ai mediului academic, ai mediului de afaceri și ai mass-media într-o serie de dezbateri care vor aborda cele mai stringente probleme de securitate din zona Mării Negre și a Balcanilor.

Acest eveniment anual emblematic este organizat de New Strategy Center, având ca parteneri instituționali Ministerul Afacerilor Externe și Ministerul Apărării din România și beneficiind de sprijinul Diviziei de Diplomație Publică a NATO, la fel ca la toate edițiile anterioare.

Teme de securitate și apărare la Black Sea and Balkans Security Forum

 

Ultimele luni au fost marcate de agresiunea neprovocată și nejustificată a Federației Ruse împotriva suveranității și integrității teritoriale a Ucrainei. Consecințele războiului din Ucraina se resimt în alte părți ale globului, perturbând lanțurile de aprovizionare, crescând costul energiei, alimentând inflația, punând în pericol securitatea alimentară, în special în țările din Africa și Asia care depind de importuri, și afectând redresarea economică post-pandemie.

Răspunsul comunității internaționale a fost prompt și impresionant, după cum o demonstrează ajutorul masiv umanitar, economic și militar pentru Ucraina și amploarea sancțiunilor impuse Rusiei. Evoluțiile din Ucraina și din jurul acesteia au conturat valoarea unică a relațiilor transatlantice și complementaritatea în acțiune dintre NATO și Uniunea Europeană. Ultimele luni au subliniat importanța consolidării acestor legături cu aliații și partenerii noștri, cât și nevoia de a dezvolta politici și acțiuni comune, adaptate noului context strategic. 

Aceste subiecte, și multe altele, vor fi dezbătute la conferința de anul acesta de la București. De-a lungul anilor, Black Sea and Balkans Security Forum a evoluat și s-a transformat într-un eveniment de referință, fiind una dintre cele mai importante platforme de discuții din regiune, unde au loc schimburi libere de opinii cu privire la cele mai presante probleme de securitate națională, apărare și politică externă. Ediția din acest an va găzdui 106 speakeri, atât din România, cât și din afară, din state membre UE și NATO, dar și din țări partenere. 

Cu 21 de paneluri programate pe parcursul a două zile, forumul va avea în vedere modalitățile necesare pentru a putea pune bazele unei Europe mai sigure și mai prospere și o Alianță Nord-Atlantică mai puternică, pregătită să combată noile provocări cu care ne confruntăm. În plus, discuțiile vor analiza și perspectivele economiei globale pe termen scurt și mediu, oportunitățile de dezvoltare și cooperare regională, diversificarea și tranziția verde în sectorul energetic, lanțurile de aprovizionare, securitatea alimentară și schimbările climatice, infrastructura strategică și mobilitatea militară, impactul noilor tehnologii militare.

New Strategy Center este un think tank românesc fondat în 2015, care își desfășoară activitatea în domeniul relațiilor internaționale, securității și al apărării. Acesta organizează diverse evenimente și editează studii de specialitate, mai ales pentru a promova importanța strategică a regiunii Mării Negre și a zonei Balcanilor.
